It is already established that John Ugochukwu Ogu is in the Académica squad which faces Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Europa League on Thursday at Estádio EFAPEL, Coimbra.
A fortnight ago, Ogu made his bow in the competition after he was introduced by coach Pedro Emmanuel just after the hour mark in the away game with Viktoria Plzen.
''It is a big experience for me playing in this competition - the Europa League. I hope to give my best to the team if I am fielded , do everything I can to make us victorious at the end of the day,''Ogu told allnigeriasoccer.com.
He went further: ''Hapoel is a good team. They have got experienced players in the team. So we are going to respect them, but we are not scared of the opponents. In football anything can happen.''
Ogu is under contract with The Students until the summer of 2015. He has suited five times in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
