NFF Will Not Pay Betis A Single Euro For Using NOSA IGIEBOR

Unlike what happens when players go to the World Cup and European Championships, Betis will not get a single euro for almost a month that Nosa Igiebor is with the Nigeria selection for the 2013 African Nations Cup to be held from January 19 to 10 February next in South Africa.
This is clearly a situation of concern, as neither CAF, continental tournament organizer, or the Nigeria Federation would compensate Betis for any hypothetical injury, the sporting and economic consequences would be borne by the club.
Something similar happened when Koné of Sevilla was seriously injured during a friendly for Ivory Coast. Since then, some countries have agreed to sign other insurance policies to alleviate such contingencies, but it is not much less of an obligation, so the examples are minimal.
In this sense, FIFA can not be held vicariously liable for any problems that may arise, as it is not a competition managed directly by Blatter and company, but delegated to the Confederation of African Football.
