AHMED MUSA: I Do Not Understand Complaints About Refereeing
Published: October 21, 2012
CSKA Moscow attacker Ahmed Musa netted his fifth goal in seven games in the Army Team's 2 - 0 home win over Rubin Kazan in the 12th round of matches in the Russian Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
In his post match comments, the Nigeria international said he did not understand the opponents' claims that there was biased officiating by the match referee Aleksandr Egorov.
''The first penalty goal was decisive. It instilled confidence in us. After that it was easier to score the second goal. Certainly the incident was a penalty offense. I was with the ball in the penalty area, wanted to shoot and was hit in the legs. I do not understand complaints about refereeing. The referee did a good job,'' Musa was quoted as saying by championat.com.
The 20 - year -old ex Kano Pillar is playing as makeshift center forward this season as a result of injuries to the team's first choice strikers.
Musa is now one of the leading scorers in the Russian championship, and has set his sights on the top scorer award at the end of the season.
Championat.com quoted Musa as saying: ''If I keep up the good work, I will try to score as often as possible.''
