Viborg In Contact With STANLEY IHUGBA, Plots Exit From Sarpsborg
Published: October 31, 2012
Norwegian first division club Sarpsborg 08 are ready to extend the contract of Stanley Ihugba for an additional two years, the midfielder has revealed to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Ihugba's contract with Sarpsborg 08 expires November 2012, and there has been an approach by the club hierarchy to prolong his stay in østfold county.
However, the 25 - year - old is stalling on putting pen to paper on the contract offer, as he is weighting other options available to him.
''I was offered a new contract for an extra two years since July, which my agent Atta Aneke is studying. I think he has not communicated his decision to the club because he is aware some other teams are monitoring me.Two clubs in the Tippeligaen have sent their representatives to watch me several times.
''There is also interest from Denmark which I think is the most concrete. A scout from Viborg FF called me on phone to tell me the club is impressed with my performances in the league. And then he came to watch me in some games. The scout told me they will get in touch with me, so I am waiting,'' says Ihugba to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Ihugba has started 23 games in the Adeccoligaen this campaign for promotion candidate Sarpsborg 08.
