JOEL OBI Excluded From Inter Squad To Belgrade
Published: November 07, 2012
The official list of the 20 players called up by coach Andrea Stramaccioni for Inter Milan's trip to Partizan Belgrade has just been released. Excluded from the squad is Nigeria international Joel Obi.
Obi's omission won't come as a surprise as he has been battling to regain match fitness as a result of a tear in one of the quadriceps muscles. On Tuesday, the former NEPA Lagos youth - teamer did not participate in training with the rest of his teammates.
Inter Milan see Obi as one for the future, and are in no hurry to rush him back to the field until he's in excellent condition.
His last game for The Black and Blues was against Catania on October 21.
