Official: GBENGA AJALA Joins Kienlongbank Kien Giang
Published: November 10, 2012
The 23 - year - old proved his goal scoring credentials last season, netting 14 goals in 25 matches for Dong Thap. And this made him a wanted man in the V - League. Ajala is the most high profile player that has joined Kienlongbank Kiên Giang ahead of the resumption of the season.
He is a direct replacement for Nigeria youth international Ganiyu Oseni, who refused to extend his contract with the Lại Há»ng Vân led side. Oseni had been demanding a monthly salary of $12,000 before putting pen to paper on a new contract.
Hoang Anh Gia Lai F.C had courted Ajala in the off season. There was also talk of a reunion with former Dong Thap coach Pham Cong Loc at Navibank Saigon, but the club went bankrupt in October.
