Crocked ONYEKACHI APAM Will Not Travel To USA
Published: November 11, 2012
Rennes central defender Onyekachi Apam has ruled himself out of the Eagles friendly with Venezuela on Wednesday. The 25 - year - old suffered a relapse of the thigh muscular injury he had been battling with since the start of the season.
''He has called the coach (Stephen Keshi, ed) to say he has suffered a fresh recurrence in his (thigh) injury. He didn't play for his team last night and that's why the coach has named more defenders in the team from the players in the local league for the game," a team official informed supersport.com.
The ex Enugu Ranger will undergo a scan during the week to ascertain the level of damage and duration on the sidelines.
Under contract with Rennes until the summer of 2014, Apam has made 2 appearances in the French championship this season.
