BROWN IDEYE Silences Critics
Published: November 12, 2012
Brown Ideye's five matches without a goal in the Ukrainian Championship ended in the fifteenth round against Metallurg Zaporozhye.
After his goal, Ideye put his finger on the lips, a gesture to silence his critics, who had been chastising him for performing below expectations in recent games.
''There are people who believe that I am no longer able to score regularly for Dynamo Kiev. The gesture - in their honor,'' Ideye, who is now the second highest goalscorer in Ukraine, was quoted as saying by dynamomania.com.
Ideye has been named in the Nigeria squad which faces Venezuela on Wednesday in a friendly.
