Agent: STEPHEN MAKINWA Wants To Remain In Italy

Paolo Fabbri, the agent of Stephen Makinwa, has commented on the situation of the Nigeria international to the Italian Media. Makinwa has been without a club following his release by Lazio at the end of the 2011 - 2012 campaign.
''Stephen's case is a special one. He refused two offers from foreign clubs in the summer, maybe because he wants to remain in Italy. We are waiting fora new solution, is accustomed to big teams, major engagements, but unfortunately the transfer market in Italy is in a delicate situation,'' said Fabbri to tuttomercatoweb.com.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Italy's most respected voice on the transfer market and Sky Sport Italia journalist, Makinwa was on the wishlist of a Chinese club this past summer, but the ex FC Ebedei talent rejected a five - month contract worth 400,000 euros that was offered.
Makinwa had been linked with a move to SV Kapfenberg ,Austria in October but the transfer failed to materialize.
