ISAAC OKORONKWO: We Will Play To Win Against Anzhi Makhachkala
Published: November 13, 2012
Former Nigeria international Isaac Okoronkwo in an interview with the official website of Rostov has commented on the upcoming match with Anzhi Makhachkala.
''The opponent is strong, but we will play to win. I think our recession is behind us and start scoring points. We had a good match with Zenith, and the two previous meetings in the championship, but we did not have good luck,'' says Okoronkwo to the official website of Rostov.
Russia is experiencing a cold winter, and the weather might be unfriendly to footballers, especially the foreigners.
''I am eight years in this country, already accustomed to the climate. More difficult to adapt to the fields that are tough, wet. I watched the match "Locomotive" with "Anji" and saw how hard it was for the players,'' said Okoronkwo.
Okoronkwo, who had been out of action since October, resumed training with the group on Tuesday.
