OBAFEMI MARTINS Arrives Late To Spain
Published: November 16, 2012
Levante forward Obafemi Martins arrived late for training on Friday afternoon due to a flight delay. Having missed the morning session, he trained on an individual schedule.
The one time FC Ebedei talent was recalled to Nigeria's National Team after more than two years in the international wilderness. Though not on the score-sheet, he was involved in the game against Venezuela for an hour.
Maroons coach, Juan Ignacio Martínez, has admitted that Martins is an important player of the squad, and despite his late arrival, he will be in the squad which travels to play Deportivo La Coruna this weekend.
''After a game that follows, let's see how it goes, but playing with Nigeria was a pleasure for him. I hope he comes in top condition, because he gives us a lot,'' Martínez was quoted as saying by lasprovincias.es.
Levante will practice on Saturday morning at 10:30 hours in Buñol. The squad leaves for La Coruna at 18:00 hours.
