Benfica To Challenge Olhanense For AKINFENWA IBUKUN
Published: November 20, 2012Emergent Nigerian attacking midfielder Akinfenwa Ibukun is on the radar of Portuguese giants Benfica and Olhanense, according to A Bola. The 22 - year - old has been scouted by both clubs in recent matches.
Ibukun, who is on the books of Farense until June 2013, showed his qualities in last weekend's cup match against Beira - Mar.
The Portuguese sports daily has hinted that Benfica could move for Ibukun as early as January when the market re - opens. However, they face genuine competition from Olhanense, who want him for their B Team.
The youngster has made 6 appearances for Farense in the Segunda Divisão this season. He has had spells in Belgium with Racing Mechelen and Beerschot.
