ODEMWINGIE Accepts Squad Rotation Policy
Published: November 21, 2012
Nigeria international Peter Odemwingie has accepted in good faith manager Steve Clarke's squad rotation policy.
The West Brom attacker was left out of the starting line-up in the penultimate round of games against Wigan Athletic on November 11 despite being on the score-sheet five days earlier in the 2 -0 victory over Southampton.
''He said from the stand to the bench is not far and from the bench to the pitch isn’t far. He has to manage that in a long season where we’re hoping to achieve something. It’s normal that sometimes you ask questions but only the result matters.
''I wanted to play after Southampton when I scored two. I didn’t start but we won, so what can I say? He is the manager and he decides what’s best,'' the ex Bendel Insurance star told the online edition of Birmingham Mail.
Under contract with The Baggies until 30th June, 2014, Odemwingie has been the top scorer at the club for the past two seasons.
