Spartak Moscow: EMENIKE Is Overweight
Published: November 29, 2012
Sporting Director of Spartak Moscow, Dmitri Popov, has confirmed reports in the Russian media that Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike was not included in the starting line - up by Unai Emery in last weekend's 1-5 loss to Dynamo Moscow because he is overweight, writes championat.com citing Radio Sport.
''He's one kilogram overweight. Currently faced with the tough task to returning to the desired weight. You would think that he had five or six extra pounds? Well, I do not know, maybe because of the clothes,'' said Popov on radio.
Emmanuel Emenike has not scored in the league since September 23rd.
