Confirmed - HENRY UCHE Training With Asteras Tripolis
Published: December 01, 2012
Sport-fm.gr says the 22 - year - old Nigeria international arrived Greece on Monday to begin training with the Tripoli based club.
He was recommended to the club by the goalkeeper coach Jerry Ougen, who had a telephone conversation with Stephen Keshi. The Super Eagles gaffer spoke in glowing terms about Henry Uche, and hinted that he will take the youngster to the 2013 African Cup of Nations.
If things go according to plan, Uche is expected to be the first reinforcement of Asteras Tripolis in the January transfer window. But the club must act fast as he has proposals from other teams in Asia and Europe.
Henry Uche's last game for the Nigeria National Team was November's exhibition game against Venezuela in Miami, USA.
