Published: December 02, 2012
According to the official website of Levante, coach Juan Ignacio Martinez has included Obafemi Martins in the squad which faces Celta Vigo on Sunday in the La Liga.
Throughout the week, the former Inter Milan, Newcastle and Wolfsburg ace was struggling for fitness as a result of a fibular injury.
Obafemi Martins, with sore muscles in his right leg, did not train at the same pace with the rest of his colleagues for most part of the week. But on Saturday, he passed a fitness test and was named in the 19 - man traveling party to Galicia.
It remains to be seen if Martins starts at The Estadio Municipal de Balaídos. In nine matches in the Spanish championship, the Nigeria international, who is an important member of the Levante squad, has scored five times.
