Zambia Finally Departs For Saudi Arabia Friendly

The Zambia national soccer team comprising of mostly players from the local league finally flew out of the country on Saturday after their departure for Saudi Arabia was delayed by almost two days.
FAZ communications manager confirmed that the team left on Saturday night on an Emirates flight for the international friendly to be played this week.
Mwanza stated that the team's departure had been delayed by 48hrs owing to some drawn out administrative undertakings between FAZ and their Saudi Arabian counterparts.
Saudi Arabia who are ranked 112th in the world will be looking to gain some points over their better ranked rivals on the FIFA rankings as FIFA has sanctioned the game as a full international friendly.
In their last match on November 14th , the oil rich gulf state drew 0 – 0 with a star studded Argentinean team which featuring Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Mascherano, Di Maria and Di Santo.
In October they beat Congo Brazaville 3 – 2 at home.
The local assemblage which has been hardly impressive in the games they have played previously losing to Angola and Malawi having managed a win against Zimbabwe in a game played at Levy stadium will be looking to impress Chipolopolo coach Herve Renard who is expected to name his final 26 man team to go into camp in Johannesburg on return.
