STEPHEN MAKINWA: My Goals Are Important For The Team
Published: December 04, 2012
Despite scoring for the second consecutive game on Sunday for third - tier side Carrarese, out of favor Nigeria international Stephen Makinwa is disappointed that the team failed to snatch all three points against Catanzaro.
The encounter at Stadio dei Marmi on Sunday was the Tuscany club's third consecutive 2 - 2 draw in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione B.
''We played poorly in the first half in which we conceded a goal to the opponents and where we struggled to play the ball. In the second half, the team played better instead, we settled in an appropriate manner, and so my goal.
''My goal? On a personal level it is certainly very important and my goals are also important for the team, but first of all are the results and now we have to start winning. Sunday there is a match against Barletta, very important that we do well. Will be a direct clash for salvation and we can not go wrong,'' Makinwa was quoted as saying by iltirreno.gelocal.it.
Carrarese are bottom of the Lega Pro Prima Divisione B with a paltry 6 points from 12 matches.
