EJIKE UZOENYI Training With Rennes
Published: December 05, 2012
Enugu Rangers flying winger Ejike Uzoenyi has started trials, which will last for one week, in France with Ligue 1 club Rennes, the official website of The Red and Black has reported.
20 - year - old Uzoenyi, rated one of the best players still plying his trade in the domestic championship, tried his luck with Marseille in the summer, but was not offered a contract despite reportedly impressing during trials.
Allnigeriasoccer.com had exclusively revealed back in October that the management company that brokered his trials with the 1993 European champions is keen on arranging further trials for the Super Eagle with Ligue 1 clubs.
Should he impress coach Frédéric Antonetti at the end of tests, the Nigeria international would be offered a contract with effect from January.
Previously, Uzoenyi tested with Esperance, Tromsø and Panionios but nothing came out of those tests. Because of his resale value, allnigeriasoccer.com values him at €350,000.
