Russian Team Eye JERRY MBAKOGU
Published: December 07, 2012
A Russian team is interested in acquiring the Nigerian youngster Jerry Mbakogu from Juve Stabia in the January transfer market, according to reports in Italy.
20 - year - old Mbakogu, who made the prestigious 2012 edition of Nigeria's Top 50 Youngsters, is also on the wishlist of at least three teams in the Serie A.
Now, Mbakogu's agent Andrea Campi has told Tuttomercatoweb.com that apart from Chievo Verona, Torino and Palermo, his client has admirers abroad and it might be difficult for Juve Stabia to keep him till June.
''I'd rather not say the name, but a Russian team is interested. The hypothesis of a transfer in January is only possible in the face of a substantial bid. Moreover, Juve Stabia is in a position to aspire to be promoted and does not want to sell now.
''Certainly, his injury has complicated things. I believe that without the injury, a transfer could have been possible. Now the priority is to recover as soon as possible,'' Campi told TMW.
