Steaua Bucharest Chase DANIEL CHIMA
Published: December 13, 2012
Romania powerhouse Steaua Bucharest are interested in the acquisition of Molde striker Daniel Chima in the winter transfer market, according to reports in the Eastern European country.
Sport.ro says the most successful team in Romania have beamed their searchlight on Chima following his impressive displays in the Europa League, where he has netted 3 goals.
But the snag is that the leadership of Steaua have failed to meet Molde's two million euros valuation of the 21 - year - old forward, who is rated one of Nigeria's most promising talents. They have offered only 1.2 million euros, a figure that the Norwegians deemed insufficient.
Also, the player's personal terms can not be met by Gigi Becali's team. Chima and his representatives want at least 180,000 euros as annual wage while the club won't go beyond 90,000 euros.
Steaua Bucharest must act fast as they face competition from Stuttgart for Chima's signature and the Bundesliga side would be favorites to land the former Lyn Oslo ace if it turns out to be a bidding war.
