DAVID ALABA Is Austrian Footballer Of The Year Again

Bayern Munich wing back David Alaba has been named the Austrian Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.
In the poll conducted, the 20 - year - old, who is of Nigeria descent, scored 41 marks out of a maximum of 50 to clinch the award. Chinedu Obasi's teammate at Schalke 04, Christian Fuchs took the second position while Austria Vienna's Philipp Hosiner finished in third position.
''That to me is a great honor. I want to thank all the coaches who voted for me, even my family, my friends and God, who made all this possible.
''There has been a lot of Austrian players who have brought great performances this year,'' Alaba stated.
David Alaba is only the fifth player that has won the award more than once.
