Agent Not Ruling Out January Exit For MBAKOGU
Published: December 21, 2012
Andrea Campi, the agent of Jerry Mbakogu, is not ruling out an exit by the Nigerian from Juve Stabia in the winter transfer market.
20 - year - old Mbakogu is reportedly on the wishlist of Catania, Atalanta, Chievo and Torino. But he has just recovered from injury and this may have complicated a possible switch by the youngster in January.
''Surely Mbakogu remains a hot name, but you have to wait for his return to the field to talk about him. Doubt there could be a transfer in January, but the market is long and nothing is impossible.
''Before the injury some clubs were very interested, it is clear that his duration on the sidelines has cooled a bit of these tracks,'' Campi told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
He went further: ''Mbakogu is jointly owned between Juve Stabia and Padova. I do not exclude that a Serie A club could buy half of Mbakogu's rights from Padova and he remains in Campania until June, then in the summer conclude the business with Juve Stabia.''
Jerry Mbakogu could return to the pitch on Sunday against Hellas Verona. He has not played in the Serie B since October 30.
