Dickson Nwakaeme Rules Out Move To Perak FC
Published: December 30, 2012
Free agent Dickson Nwakaeme, widely regarded as the best Nigerian player to set foot in Finland, has ruled himself out of a transition to Malaysian top flight club Perak FC. After weeks of negotiations, both parties could not agree on the financial terms of the deal.
He has hinted that a return to Europe, where he had previously played for KuPS and Aalborg, is on the cards.
''I negotiated a contract with Perak FC. They offered me a one - year contract but I did not sign because of the money they offered and other factors. Though, I was supposed to receive more than what I got in Vietnam, I don't think this is the right move for me.
''I have opportunities mainly in Europe. Soon, I shall make a decision on my future destination,'' says Nwakaeme to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Nwakaeme notched 10 goals in 13 matches for past club Song Lam Nghe An. He finished as the club's top scorer last season despite arriving in April.
