Stephen Keshi Heaps Praise On New Super Eagles Hero Bright Dike
Published: January 03, 2013
Nigeria gaffer Stephen Keshi has shared his thoughts and impressions on Portland Timbers attacker Bright Dike, who scored in only his second appearances for the Super Eagles against a Catalonian select side on Wednesday.
''He is a great kid, a fighter; he is hungry and wants to play. He is very committed and that is what I want from the players. If they are committed, hungry and ready to play 120 minutes then we are close,'' says Keshi to MTNFootball.com.
The former Anderlecht libero has heaped praise on his players for the 1-1 draw against a world class team. He also thanked followers of the Super Eagles for their support.
Keshi told the portal: ''It was a great game. I must commend the players because they played to instructions. The purpose of this friendly was to try out some formations and tactics and not to win at all cost, but knowing the pedigree and quality of our opponents and so the boys gave their all and I must commend them for this and also Nigerians for their prayers.''
According to the schedule of the Super Eagles, they will lock horns against Cape Verde in their next friendly game on January 9 in Portugal.
