Michael Olaitan Misses 140,000 Euros Annual Wage At PAOK
Published: January 04, 2013
Olympiakos and PAOK, the leading candidates to secure the signature of the hot-in-demand Nigerian midfielder Michael Olaitan might have to wait until the summer to land him.
Veria officially announced today that it won't part with any player in the winter transfer market. Instead, new arrivals are expected at the club.
''Veria FC announces that it does not intend to enter into the sales process of any footballer in the January transfer window. The group aims to strengthen the existing roster and not weakening,'' the club stated.
Before this announcement, Olympiakos were believed to be in pole position to sign Olaitan. According to reports in Greece, despite PAOK reaching an agreement with the player, the leadership of Veria did not sanction the move. Olaitan was due to earn 140,000 euros as annual wage.
