Montpellier HSC owner Laurent Nicollin won't extend the contract of Nigeria international John Utaka which expires in June.
Radio Monte Carlo says Laurent Nicollin is willing to accept a bid for the 30 - year - old Super Eagle if his valuation is met.
''He is out of contract in June. I do not think that we are going to extend his contract. I'd love to. But he is a bit expensive. If I have a proposal for him, yes I will accept,'' says Nicollin to RMC.
Reports in France are strongly linking Utaka with a move to Qatari club Al-Gharafa. He is expected to cost around one million euros in transfer fee and will sign a three - year contract.
Also in the running for Utaka are Al-Khor and Turkish club Besiktas. As it is, Al-Gharafa are in pole position for the signature of the former Pompey ace.
