Kalu Uche Wants Kasimpasa To Climb Up The Table
Published: January 09, 2013
Kasimpasa attacker Kalu Uche, second top scorer in the Turkish Super League, is with the squad at a training camp in Antalya preparing for the resumption of the second stanza.
Placed ninth on the log with 23 points from 17 matches, Uche says if they are to avoid relegation and compete for a place in Europe, the club should start picking up points in the second half of the season.
Uche told Habertürk: ''We found ourselves in the top positions when the league started. But then our performance dropped. The second half will be very difficult. Our goal is always the top positions, and maintain that position.''
Speaking on his adaptation to life in Turkey, the Nigeria international said: ''Turkey is a growing country, Istanbul is a great city. The only problem is traffic, a little difficult to deal with. At least 3 hours in advance if you plan on doing something you need to take action. At first, many times I lost my way, I went to other places. Now the problem is over.''
Kasimpasa entertain Istanbul giants and city rivals Galatasaray in their first game in the league this calender year on Friday, January 18.
