Abraham Alechenwu Misses Two Training Sessions In Protest Over Unpaid Wages
Published: January 25, 2013
According to reports in Albania, Abraham Alechenwu missed the last two two training sessions conducted by Super League side Besa Kavajë.
Panorama Sport, Albania says Alechenwu's unauthorized absence has to do with the club's failure to pay him backlog of wages, which breaches the terms of his contract.
In the coming days, the Nigerian wing-back will hold clear-the-air talks with the president of Besa Kavajë, Nexhat Bizhdili.
It is expected that Alechenwu will demand a termination of his contract to enable him leave the club as a free agent. And if the president does not rubber-stamp the decision, the defender would take the matter to Fifa's Dispute Resolution Chamber.
This season, Alechenwu has made 10 appearances in the championship for Besa Kavajë.
