Stephen Keshi: I Am Happy With The Result
Published: January 25, 2013
Nigeria gaffer Stephen Keshi has commented on the Eagles 1 - 1 draw with Zambia on Friday in Nelspruit.
Still rueing Mikel Obi's unconverted penalty against the defending champions, Keshi has admitted that the next group match against Ethiopia will be as tough as the previous two games.
Keshi told afcon2013online.com: ''My goal was to collect all three points and it wasn’t difficult but l am happy with the result. We don’t have a specialist penalty taker so if in the next game we score then we score but if we miss a penalty well that’s that. Every game is difficult in this competition and Ethiopia will be a tough game too.''
Nigeria skipper Joseph Yobo was not suited up against the Chipolopolo. He says the team's next target is to concentrate on Monday's tie with Ethiopia.
''We are disappointed but we can’t really complain much. We now have to focus on the next match against Ethiopia because that’s the only game that can make us qualify to the second round of the tournament,'' said Yobo.
