Marvin Ogunjimi Praises Beerschot Fans
Published: January 27, 2013
Belgium international Marvin Ogunjimi has nothing but praise for the Beerschot supporters following the goalless draw with Mons on Saturday.
Despite failing to get the maximum points on offer, the fans were unanimous in their support of the team from start to finish.
''The crowd was wonderful today. The real supporters pushed us forward and continued to support us. They gave us confidence. It is a pity that we could not give them the points at home tonight,'' Ogunjimi was quoted as saying by belgiumsoccer.be.
Manager Mathijssen handed Nigeria youth - teamer Kennedy Nwanganga a spot in attack. Both Ogunjimi and Kennedy were players of Racing Genk at the start of the campaign.
''The combination was very good, we know each other well,'' said Ogunjmi.
