Queens Park Rangers Will Up Bid For Odemwingie

Nigeria international Peter Odemwingie may be in the news for the wrong reasons. But this has not stopped Londoners Queens Park Rangers to continue their pursuit of the West Brom star, writes the British Press.
The Daily Telegraph says Queens Park Rangers will come with an improved offer of 3.25 million pounds for Odemwingie in the next 48 hours.
Odemwingie, 31, faces a fine of about 70,000 pounds for his ranting on Twitter this past weekend. The ex Lokomotiv Moscow attacker voiced his displeasure with the refusal of the Baggies hierarchy to sell him.
''Best compliment I have ever received in my carrier as a player. Manager like HR (Harry Redknapp, ed) spending to bring me for mission ‘impossible,'' Odemwngie said on Twitter.
The winter transfer market closes on Thursday, January 31.
