Lukman Haruna Defends Red Card Incident
Published: February 03, 2013
In Saturday's training match held in Spain, both players - Haruna and Lass - were dismissed by the referee after 45 minutes.
''Sometimes we get on the field very angry. Of course today I was upset because we were losing the match. That ill-fated episode I was first on the ball, and Lass grabbed me by the collar and pulled my T-shirt. I got angry and that was the cause of the dismissal of both players.
''Did he say something to me? Even if he said something, I was very, very angry and did not hear him. He's a good player and has played in the best leagues in the world. I respect him, but on the pitch is a real battel, and everyone wants to win it,'' Lukman told Chempionat.com.
After about three months recess, the Ukrainian Championship will resume on Friday, March 1st, with Dynamo Kiev hosting Kryvbas in the 19th round of matches.
