'Injured' Michael Eneramo Nets Brace Against Fenerbahce
Published: February 04, 2013
Sivasspor eased their relegation worries with a surprise 1 - 2 away victory over Istanbul giants Fenerbahçe on Sunday in the 20th round of matches in the Super League.
Out-of-favor Nigeria international Michael Eneramo notched a brace for Sivasspor, including a late winner on the dot of 90 minutes.
''It was a challenging and important match, we were aware of this. As everyone knows, Fenerbahçe is a big club. Knowing that, we fought and played hard,'' Eneramo was quoted as saying by internethaber.com.
Coach Riza Calimbay left Eneramo on the pitch despite the striker complaining of being injured. And this paid off in a big way as the Super Eagle secured an unlikely three points for Sivasspor.
