Fatai Osho Hails Gabros' Fighting Spirit
Published: February 05, 2013
In their latest match played in the NNL against Gabros, a second half penalty from Ahmed Agbogunleri was enough to secure maximum points for Remo Stars as they remain in touching distance with the league leaders.
Though Remo Stars gaffer Fatai Osho expressed his delight with the win, he has admitted that victory did not come on a platter of gold, and has hailed the fighting spirit of Gabros.
Speaking to the official website, Osho said: ''It was a difficult game for us, our opponent came with a resolve to pick at least a point from us. They got their tactics right by trying to contain us in terms of absorbing the pressure and then hit on the counter attack. We had possession of the ball but the openings were not forth coming easily.
''We are glad that we are able to grind out this result despite the fact that I faced my course mate, who has a good idea of how I go about my job.''
The victory sees the Sky Blue Stars move to second on the Division B log in Nigeria's second - tier.
