Arsenal, Liverpool Chase Emmanuel Emenike
Published: February 06, 2013
Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike has played down reports linking him with a move to the English Premier League in the summer.
It is an open secret that scouts of top clubs in England are represented at the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament in South Africa searching for talents.
According to British sources, representatives of Reading, Arsenal and Liverpool have watched Emenike in action. Nonetheless, the Spartak Moscow forward, who is tied to the colors of the red and white until 2016, says he intends to honor his contract, but has not ruled out a move to England in future.
''I am playing in Russia at the moment and I have a contract that I intend to respect. But to be linked with the Premier League is a dream come true. I would love to play there in my career. There are many great clubs there,'' Emenike was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
