Exclusive - Michael Sommer Reveals Bayer Leverkusen Won't Move For Sunday Mba
Published: February 07, 2013
Reports at home suggest Warri Wolves offensive player Sunday Mba, who has been impressive for the Super Eagles at the African Cup of Nations, is wanted by 2002 Champions League finalists Bayer Leverkusen.
Very influential German sports administrator, Michael Sommer has commented on the possibility of Mba joining Bayer Leverkusen after the tournament in South Africa.
''I heard nothing about the interest here in Germany. I can also not imagine that Leverkusen looks for a 24 year old player that never played in Europe.
''That is not the way they work and in his position top Germany international André Schürrle is playing. Leverkusen have refused to sell him.
''It is impossible that Mba goes to the Lions as Schürrle will never be relegated to the bench,'' Sommer, CEO of Just Football Sport Management, informed allnigeriasoccer.com.
