Spartak Coach Valery Karpin: No Plan To Sell Emenike
Published: February 08, 2013
Head Coach of Spartak Moscow Valery Karpin has told the press in Russia that the club has no plans to sell Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike, who is logically in high demand as a result of his exploits at the African Cup of Nations.
''There is no such plan to sell Emenike. I think it's wrong to sell the player who last year became our main striker and scored 13 goals,'' says Karpin to championat.com.
25 - year - old Emenike, who has notched 4 goals in 5 matches at the Afcon, is being linked with clubs in the English Premier League including Arsenal, Liverpool and Reading.
His contract with the red and white expires in the summer of 2016.
