Ugo Ukah Tips Nigeria To Win Afcon
Published: February 08, 2013
Jagiellonia Biaystok central defender Ugo Ukah has shared his thoughts and impressions on the final match at the African Cup of Nations between Nigeria and Burkina Faso.
Ukah, who has one cap for the Nigeria selection, is optimistic the Super Eagles can win their third trophy on Sunday due to the offensive personnel at the disposal of coach Stephen Keshi.
''I hope they win and they look the stronger team. They have been solid throughout the tournament.
''Well with strikers like Emmanuel Emenike and Brown Ideye that are doing really well in Europe, I was expecting only glory and success for Nigeria, so I am not surprised at their progress in the tournament,'' Ukah told allnigeriasoccer.com.
However, Ukah has advised the Nigeria handlers to pay special attention to former teammate at Widzew Lodz, Prejuce Nakoulma, who has made two appearances for the Stallions at the ongoing tourney.
''Prejuce Nakoulma was my teammate at Widzew Lodz. He had and still has great skills. And I am happy he could show that even though you are playing in Poland, you don't have to be ignored for international games. The Polish championship is a competitive league with very good players.
''Prejuce is very fast and has excellent dribbling skills. He has to improve on his finishing but definitely he's a player the defenders should pay close attention to,'' says Ukah.
Ugo Ukah made his international debut for the Super Eagles against Zambia in November, 2011.
