Emenike, Moses Did Not Train With Group
Published: February 08, 2013
Ahead of the African Cup of Nations decider against Burkina Faso, two of Super Eagles first choice strikers Emmanuel Emenike and Victor Moses are racing against the clock to be fit for the final.
Emenike and Moses did not train with the total group on Friday. The Spartak Moscow ace did not appear in training. On the other hand, Chelsea winger Moses had a personal session with the physiotherapist.
Thus, their participation in the final match on Sunday remains questionable. Both players are very important to the attacking formation of coach Stephen Keshi as they have been involved in 8 of the 10 goals scored by Nigeria at the tournament.
A decision on the availability of the players will be made by the team doctors late on Saturday.
