Vincent Enyeama: This Is The Proudest Moment In My Career
Published: February 12, 2013
Maccabi Tel Aviv numero uno Vincent Enyeama says winning the just concluded Nations Cup is the best moment of his career.
It would be recalled that Nigeria defeated fellow West Africans Burkina Faso 1 - 0 on Sunday to lift Africa's most respected sports competition.
Vincent Enyeama told the official website of Maccabi Tel Aviv: ''Winning the African Cup of Nations for your country is an unimaginable experience. Who could possibly ask for more? Words simply cannot express the feeling in the camp right now. And for me, to win the trophy in South Africa where I played in the 2010 World Cup, it's even more special.''
He went further: ''This is by far the happiest and proudest moment in my career. I'm sure our fans in Tel Aviv are happy for me and I'd like to thank the whole club for their support – the coaches, the players, the medical staff and the management.Next up for me is to win the National Cup and the championship in Israel. If we can do that, this will be an especially successful season for me.''
Enyeama is being expected in Israel later in the week. So far, the Super Eagle has been in goal 16 times for the Yellows in the Israeli championship.
