Maccabi Tel Aviv Expect Enyeama To Land In Israel On Friday
Published: February 14, 2013
As reported by Sports Walla, Nigeria custodian Vincent Enyeama will land in Israel this weekend, probably on Friday night.
Maccabi Tel Aviv, the league leaders, travel to face Dele Aiyenugba's Bnei Yehuda in the 23rd of matches in the Ligat ha'Al this coming Monday.
Enyeama, who was officially chosen as the best goalkeeper at the just concluded African Nations Cup, failed to arrive in Israel since the end of the tournament in South Africa because the Nigeria President hosted the team to a state reception in Abuja earlier in the week.
If the Nigeria international does not practice on Saturday with the rest of his teammates, he could be omitted from the squad which plays Bnei Yehuda. It is very likely that young goalkeeper Barak Levi will be preferred in goal.
On loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv until the end of the season, Vincent Enyeama has made 16 appearances for the Yellows in the Israeli top flight.
