Taye Taiwo Hopeful Dynamo Kiev Can Qualify
Published: February 18, 2013
Nigeria wing-back Taye Taiwo has commented on Dynamo Kiev's 1-1 draw with Bordeaux in the Europa League last Thursday. The 27 - year - old played the entire duration of the game in the tie held at the Olympic Stadium , Kiev.
''I know Bordeaux and the French championship. The French are good at defense, so playing against them is very difficult, especially if they manage to score.
''I knew that it will be difficult, we did not have good luck. At the beginning of the game, we missed an illogical goal. This is football,'' Taiwo told Pro Dynamo.
But the former Lobi Star has stressed that Dynamo Kiev have a chance of qualifying for the last 16 of the competition when the reverse fixture is played in France on Thursday.
Taiwo said: ''We need to prepare well for the second leg. I believe that we can pass to the next round.''
Primarily a player of AC Milan, his loan deal with the Kievites expires at the end of the current campaign.
