Kehinde Olanrewaju Targets Maccabi Tel Aviv First Team
Published: February 19, 2013
Kehinde Olanrewaju signed a short - term deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv in the winter transfer market.
The former Remo Stars forward might have done enough to convince the Yellows to offer him a permanent contract at the end of the season.
In his last two matches in the Youth championship, the teenager netted three times in games against Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
''My goals are from God, that is it. The coach of the youth team is very happy with me.
''He has been helping me a lot with my personal training. Hopefully, soon, I will be drafted into the first team,'' says Kehinde Olanrewaju to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 18 - year - old penned a six-month contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv just after Nigeria custodian Vincent Enyeama left Israel to participate in the African Cup of Nations.
''I have met Vincent Enyeama. You know he plays for the first team, but we have not had time to really talk together. I wish I can be with him,'' adds Kehinde.
Dominion Hotspur, Remo and Kwara United are the clubs Kehinde played for before pitching tent with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
