Former Glasgow Celtic youth - teamer James Alabi has joined League One side Scunthorpe United on a one-month loan deal, the official website of his parent club Stoke City announced on Thursday.
''An opportunity like this is potentially fantastic for James’ development.
''It doesn’t surprise us, however, as he’s been doing very well and it’s nice to see him pushing on and getting an opportunity at such a high level,'' Academy manager Dave Wright told stokecityfc.com.
Alabi, who has been handed the number 27 jersey, could make his debut for Scunthorpe United against Hartlepool United on Saturday.
