Imoh Ezekiel Could Be Back Against OHL
Published: February 28, 2013
Standard Liege attacker Imoh Ezekiel was missing from the line - up in Sunday's game against Genk after he failed to recover from a knee injury.
It was earlier reported that Ezekiel could spend two weeks on the sidelines. But he has been examined and the injury is not as bad as first feared.
As a result, he is in contention to be named in the squad which faces Derick Chuka Ogbu's OH Leuven next Saturday in the 29th round of games in the Jupiler League.
''Imoh Ezekiel, who unfortunately missed the match against Genk, twisted his knee two days before this meeting and a small damage at this level.
''It is not very serious, it is hoped he will be able to resume group training within a week and he will be present for the next league match Standard will play in Leuven,'' club doctor Jean Vervier told Standard TV.
Imoh Ezekiel, 19, has scored 13 goals in 21 matches this season in the league.
Hopefully, he will take part in full training on Friday.
