Published: March 04, 2013
Dynamo Kiev played a disappointing 1 - 1 draw with Kryvbas in their opening match of the second stanza of the Ukrainian championship on Sunday in front of their supporters.
Nigeria international Brown Ideye lasted the entire duration of the game but was unlucky not to score.
Speaking to the official website, Ideye has admitted that manager Oleg Blokhin was not pleased with the final scoreline.
''He was disappointed with the way we played. Home draw is equal to defeat for us,'' Ideye told fcdynamo.kiev.ua.
Against Kryvbas, Brown Ideye could have increased his goal tally in the league to 14, but hit the crossbar.
''I hope that in the other games I will have more opportunities to score than it is today (Sunday, ed). We are creating opportunities, the main thing for us right now - to work hard o implementing the chances,'' said Ideye.
Speaking on his new strike partner, Lucas, the Super Eagle said:'' I saw him play at Karpaty. I think he's a good offensive player who can benefit the team.''
Dynamo Kiev last won the championship four seasons ago. After 19 rounds, they trail log leaders and fierce rivals Shakhtar Donetsk by 16 points.
