Valerenga Hold Clear The Air Talks With Ogude
Published: March 08, 2013
Vålerenga have refused to comment on whether the Nigeria international Fegor Ogude was sanctioned for returning late to Norway after international duty with the Super Eagles.
Ogude was supposed to join his teammates at a training camp in La Manga, Spain. Instead, the central midfielder diverted his flight to Oslo, where Vålerenga are based.
Finally, coach of Vif, Kjetil Rekdal has held clear - the - air talks with Fegor Ogude but the outcome is not for public consumption.
''We had a very good meeting, a good chat. We have found a platform for him based on the expectations and what we know he can. He knows what we want from him, and agree with it, so there is no problem,'' Rekdal told aftenposetn.no.
When quizzed on Ogude's punishment, he said: ''I'm not the right guy to answer, I'm not his employer. He had a meeting with Paul Breen (managing director, ed). But the meeting I had with him was good and Fegor have worked hard and worked hard after he came back.''
Fegor Ogude was linked with a move to SK Brann late last month, but it is thought that Vif rejected the offer from the rival club after it failed to meet his valuation.
He is under contract with the capital club until the summer of 2014.
