Ex Golden Eaglet, Ojiego Chimezie Resumes Career After Injury
Published: March 11, 2013
He was in the same Golden Eaglets team as Mikel Obi and Isaac Promise. While the careers of Chimezie's ex national team colleagues have blossomed, his progress has been slowed down by injuries.
''I was in the same Under 17 squad with Mikel and Promise. Ganiyu Salami was our coach before Eguavoen took over. I played at the Nations Cup and Meridian tournament but was not selected for the World Cup.
''I have been in Denmark for a long time but got injured 2 years ago, so I am just starting again. I signed a one - season deal with NB Bornholm to get back and move on .
''The coach used to be my teammate when I was playing in the first division. I could leave the club in the summer if an offer comes and I'm in the right shape,'' Chimezie told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 26 - year - old attacking midfielder will play with the number 20 jersey in the second stanza of the league which starts April 1.
