Joseph Okonkwo: Keshi Is Doing A Good JobThere is still a glimmer of hope that Maltese First Division club Mqabba, who have the Nigerian striker Joseph Okonkwo in their ranks, can escape the drop after they hammered Marsaxlokk 4 -0 on Sunday to register their first win of the campaign.

Former Pepsi Academy starlet Joseph Okonkwo bagged a brace for the home team, by scoring in each half. He was one of the outstanding players on display for Mqabba.

''I was very happy to score two goals but I was more happy that we won, being our first victory this season. There is confidence in the squad now and we have not lost hope that we will escape relegation.

''I will keep doing my best for Mqabba and see what happens at the end of the season,'' Okonkwo told allnigeriasoccer.com.

Okonkwo has some pals in the National Team - Sunday Mba, Mikel Obi, Chibuzor Okonwko and Azubuike Egwuekwe. The three internationals are products of the Pepsi Academy.  He is confident his ex teammates will walk over Kenya come Saturday.

''The game against Kenya is important and I believe Nigeria will win. Keshi knows exactly what he is doing.

''I am also happy he is introducing new players to the team , so they can show what they have to offer.

''With the type of team we have now, I believe we can challenge any team in the world. The coach is doing a good job,'' Okonkwo stressed.

The one time Dingli Swallows, Valleta front-man presently represents himself and is searching for an agent.
